LEED v4 certification, an acronym for "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design", represents an international symbol of excellence in sustainability and leadership in sustainable construction. This approach has enabled many buildings to reduce their carbon footprint, conserve resources and lower operating costs by focusing on sustainable practices. In fact, Canada is one of the world leaders in LEED certification!
"In real estate, the projects of the future are those that will leave their mark on the hearts of occupants. Immostar is proud to be the first developer to have designed and built LEED, WELL and TOD projects in the Greater Quebec City area." - André Pelchat, President of Immostar
LEED v4, the 4th version of this system, focuses primarily on energy efficiency, sustainability and reducing the environmental impact of buildings. Several key categories are highlighted, such as location and transportation, energy choices, water management, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality and innovation.
LEED v4 certification offers different levels of recognition depending on the number of points accumulated by the project. These include Certified (40-49 points), Silver (50-59 points), Gold (60-79 points) and Platinum (80+ points). Certification is awarded after an in-depth evaluation.
Adopting LEED v4 certification demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and the environment, while enjoying numerous benefits such as energy savings, improved indoor air quality, reduced waste and increased recognition in the marketplace.
